Photo Editing

For almost a decade I worked as photo editor for Orion magazine producing assignments, fine art and photojournalistic portfolios, illustrations, and overseeing assistant photo editors as well as art direction and design. I was honored to work with many of the most inspiring artists and photographers in the world (folks like Matt Black, Ami Vitali, Aaron Huey, Caroline Drake, Ed Kashi, Sylvia Plachy, Christopher LaMarca, Joel Sartore, Jason Florio, Sally Gall, Chris Jordan, Taj Forer, Jeff Jacobson, Chris Noble, the ParkeHarrisons, Alexis Rockman, and many others) helping to develop in-depth and personal projects exploring people and nature through art and documentary and in a completely non-commercial (no advertising) layout.

I left Orion in 2012 to return to full time freelance assignment work, but continued to photo edit on contract with partners including The Nature Conservancy and WWF as well as for book projects. Photography in all its forms is my most basic passion and being able to work with others on their photography has been an honor and always inspiring for my own work as well.

I am still taking contract photo editing work ranging from editing and organizing film and photo archives to producing magazine assignments and NGO commissions to mentoring on personal projects. Reach out if you want to explore collaborating.
