All of my presentations focus on my experiences as a concerned witness photographing social and environmental issues, sharing what I’ve learned in the process. Presentation topics range from the various issues themselves (usually conservation or food/agriculture) to photographic process to the importance of local communities in global conservation to the business of assignment and documentary photography in this new media environment—all in the context of an attempt to provoke more informed and impassioned conversations on the issues represented in my subjects.

As media evolves, technology becomes more accessible, and audiences become more sophisticated, what does that mean for how we communicate about things that matter?
